Turkey Avocado Wrap Snack

I chose this recipe one being, I love avocados and it sounded like a fast, healthy, easy snack. Its a very simple recipe, all you need is turkey slices,  avocados, and I like to add some lime to add a little flavor. Super easy steps: you cut up the avocado into slices and place them in the middle of the turkey and roll up the turkey like a burrito.

Avocados are a good source of vitamin B, which gives you energy. Low in sugar also has fiber which the body needs and its keep you full longer. Avocados are high in fat, but it's a monounsaturated fat which is good for yo if eaten in moderation.

This snack can be bad for yo if you eat too much of it considering high in fat, but overall it's nutritional healthy snack that gives you your source of fruit, and protein.

    Turkey Avocado Wrap Snack
I decided to use this recipe because I have been looking for a cheap, easy, and quick snack and I love avocados. Also, my original diet was also high in sugar and carbohydrates, and so I was particularly looking for a snack/ meal that was low in carbs and sugars, but that also had a high nutrition density concerning vitamins and other minerals. For the most part, when I did the nutrition tracking, I found I was specifically low in vitamin B6, fiber, vitamin C and Iron. I do not like red meats very much, so I am somewhat low in iron. However, I remember reading that broccoli, spinach and soybeans are high in iron. So I modified this recipe and added some spinach to the wrap. Also, to accommodate for the vitamin C deficiency, I added orange slices and broccoli (for iron) as a side. I thought the meal was very quick and easy which I liked. Surprisingly, it was actually very tasteful due to the lime. The health benefits is that the meal is extremely low in sugars and carbs, however because it is so low in carbs it wouldn’t be a good fit for someone very active. The wrap is very high in many vitamins and has protein due to the turkey. Due to the avocado, the wrap is high in monounsaturated fats which are very good for cardiovascular health. I will definitely make the meal again because of how cheap, quick and simple it is.

  3. I chose this specific recipe because I loved how simple and basic it was. It was a smaller treat yet filled me up. The two ingredients are healthy and hearty and give you a good boost of energy. The turkey is a good source of protein and some cholesterol and the avocado has a lot of health benefits, like; fiber and fat content. It is great for a quick and easy snack!

The taste was wonderful, a lot of it depends on the turkey seasoning and if you put salt and pepper on the avocado but it was really yummy. Health benefits are great as well as the easiness of the recipe. I have already made this recipie multiple times and will probably continue to do so!
