Lets get started
Taste: It's bursting with flavor. It's sweet from the honey and the lime adds a tangy zest to it! The sauce is also just amazing.
Yum! It goes so fast.
Ease of Preparation:
It's a pretty easy salmon, Im a full time college student, work, and have a very needy puppy and I find no trouble finding time to make this because while it is finishing up you can finish other tasks.

Good things?
Like I mentioned at the begining there is a lot of protein to gain from this dish, it is a great source of vitamin D (it was not on the label) but vitamin D helps in decreasing cancer and lowering depression.
However it is missing some food groups so make sure to add some in. The butter and honey also add some fat and sugar but sometimes taste matters more (to me at least haha).
What else to eat: This is a pretty simple meal and I usually add a side to it. You can add some broccoli, rice, strawberries, or even cottage cheese. You can choose one side, combine some or even have all of them if you really want. Those complete the five food groups.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 salmon filets
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Zest of 1 lime
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Juice of 1 lime
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
FOR THE BROWNED BUTTER LIME SAUCE
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- To make the browned butter lime sauce, melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, whisking constantly, until the foam subsides and the butter begins to turn a golden brown, about 3 minutes. Stir in garlic, honey and lime juice, salt and pepper, to taste; set aside.
- Season salmon with salt and pepper, to taste. Dredge each salmon filet with 1 tablespoon flour and drizzle with 1 tablespoon honey.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium high heat. Working in batches, add salmon to the skillet and sear both sides until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
- Place into oven and bake until completely cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
- Serve immediately with browned butter lime sauce and lime zest, if desired.
So good even the puppy wants some
