3 Ingredient Mac and Cheese

Hey everyone!! I am going to share a recipe that I found on Pintrest. It is called 3 ingredient Mac and Cheese. I like this recipe because it is fast and cheap! It only took me maybe 30 minutes to make. It can serve 2 to 3 people.

Taste
It was good, very cheesy and creamy! Although this meal doesn't include meat it was still delicious!

Ease of Preparation
This was a super easy recipe because all you had to do was put the milk and pasta in a pot to cook the pasta and then put the cheese in when pasta is done!!

Recipe

* 2 cups of your favorite pasta ( I used elbow macaroni)

* 2 cups milk

*2 cups shredded cheese (I used a Mexican cheese blend)

Instructions

In a large pot, mix together milk and pasta and put over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes until pasta is tender. Make sure to stir every couple minutes to make sure the pasta is all cooked and so the milk doesnt curdle.

Once pasta is done (there will be extra milk left over, that is good!) stir in cheese and mix together until melted.

      * you can add salt and pepper for taste or bread crumbs on top for texture. You could even bake it in the oven!!

Serve and Enjoy!!

  1. Based on what I learned in the diet analysis, I decided to try a recipe that what help the food groups I didn’t include. I chose to do mac and cheese because it is a carb and would help balance my diet.

    I tried the recipe with ziti noodles and I thought it turned out all right. I think it could of turned out better if I melted the cheese longer. It tasted pretty good and the preparation was really straightforward and simple. Health benefits would be protein and drawbacks would be a lot of sodium. I will most likely cook it again because I want to make it right, it is simple, and has health benefits as well. Overall it was good and is a recipe to help my diet that is fairly healthy.

  2. After reviewing my diet analysis, I realized that I have a serious lack of calcium and vitamin D in my everyday diet. I wanted to choose a recipe that was easier and quicker than the recipe I personally posted. After scrolling through the blog I discovered this one and it looked perfect!
    I love that the recipe only calls for 3 ingredients-that allows it to remain fairly cheap. The process of making the recipe was also easy, and the outcome was delicious. I don't think I stirred it enough and my sauce was a little chunky but aside from that it was good. I would definitely pair it with a fruit or maybe blueberry muffins!
